Frequently Asked Questions

About Dr.nuMe

What makes Dr.nuMe different from other weight loss programs?
We combine doctor-prescribed medications like Semaglutide (Wegovy®, Ozempic®) and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®) with nutrition guidance, lifestyle coaching, and ongoing support. Every plan is customized to fit you.

Do I need insurance?
No. Our programs are available without insurance, and we also provide support for those who want to use insurance.

Who will be guiding me?
Your care will always be overseen by board-certified doctors who specialize in weight management.

Do you accept patients from anywhere?
Yes. Because all visits are online (telehealth), we can help patients in many states. Availability may vary by location.

Are the medications safe?
Yes. We only use FDA-approved medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide. Your doctor will review your health history to make sure they’re right for you.

What if I’m not eligible for GLP-1 medication?
We’ll still support you with personalized meal plans, lifestyle strategies, and weight management tools.

How do I take the medication?
You can choose between weekly injections or oral dissolving troches (tablets that melt in your mouth).

Are there side effects?
Some people may experience nausea, upset stomach, constipation, or mild fatigue when starting treatment. These usually improve over time. Your doctor will explain what to expect and how to manage it.

How long do I need to take the medication?
It depends on your goals and progress. Some patients take it short-term, while others continue long-term under doctor supervision.

Who is a good fit for Dr.nuMe?
We help adults who want to lose weight safely and effectively, especially those who have:

  • Obesity (BMI 30+)
  • Overweight (BMI 27+) with conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol
  • Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes
  • Insulin resistance or metabolic syndrome
  • Struggles with appetite control or emotional eating
  • A desire for non-surgical weight loss solutions

Can this help with diabetes?
Yes. These medications are often prescribed to improve blood sugar control for people with type 2 diabetes while also supporting weight loss.

Who should not take these medications?
People with certain medical conditions, such as a history of thyroid cancer (medullary thyroid carcinoma) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2), may not be eligible. That’s why every patient gets a full medical evaluation first.

What programs do you offer?
We have four plans to fit your needs:

  • Sprint to Slim – 1 month
  • See Me Slim – 3 months
  • Slimmer Me – 6 months
  • Nu-Me – 12 months

How much do the programs cost?
Plans start at $350, with monthly options available. Longer programs offer more guidance and better results.

Do the programs include lab work?
Yes. Lab work is ordered by your doctor to ensure your health is monitored along the way.

Can I switch programs later?
Yes. If your goals or needs change, we’ll adjust your plan.

Is it just about taking medication?
No. We focus on the whole picture: stress management, nutrition, sleep, digital detox, and strategies for eating at home, at work, or socially.

Do I need to visit in person?
No. All appointments are done through secure telehealth calls.

Will I get community support?
Yes. We provide follow-up calls, group resources, and community support to help you stay motivated.

What if I fall off track?
We’re here to help you reset and keep going. Your plan is flexible and designed to fit your life.

How do I know if I qualify?
Fill out a short intake form and meet with a doctor online. They’ll confirm if you’re eligible.

How do I get my medication?
After approval, your medication is shipped directly to your home.

When will I see results?
Everyone is different, but many people notice changes within the first few weeks.

What do I need to begin?
Just your intake form, a quick telehealth consultation, and your first lab results ordered by our doctor.
